On the Workbench: Punic Wars - Trebia Completed

The Carthaginians have been completed and with the Republican Romans finished all figures are ready for muster. All are the usual Baccus figures.

Punic Cavalry and Generals.

Continued -
Ligurians along with 3 more bases of Libyan javelinmen. The latter will form part of Mago's ambush.

6 bases of Spanish Caetrati completes the Carthaginian forces for Trebia. I have deliberately kept the Spanish in a uniform appearance for ease of identification.

  1. Fantastic painting Jon! A great result.
Are the shields decals or hand painted?

  2. Ben beat me to it, those Ligurian shields are lovely, as is the basing - do you have one of those electro-static thingummies to get the flock to stand up like that?
However, Trebbia can only be called completed once you have fought it and treated us the AAR. I'm sure I'm not the only one looking forward to it.

    1. Many thanks Rob. I have never tried those electro-static things but have tried the puffer method and did not get on with it. Also looking forward to Trebia, just smartening up some river sections (detail will be provided on my 'On the Workbench' section) which I will be using in the game.

    2. How do you get it to all stand up then?

    3. No particular technique. Just press it down onto PVA glue, upend the base and give it a few taps to clear loose flock and that's about it. The entire base and figures get two coats of spray matt varnish which helps hold the flock in place.
